You Don't Need Experience — Just a Heart to Serve.
Every Role Matters.
Volunteer at Gemstones Prom
The Difference You Make
Every year, over 100 guests are celebrated at Gemstones Prom, and it takes a village of volunteers to make that happen. You are the heart of this night.
Whatever role you step into, you won't be doing it alone; training is provided to every volunteer, so you'll feel ready and supported from the moment you arrive. Past volunteers will tell you the same thing: you'll leave with a grateful heart and a smile you can't wipe off your face. Volunteering at Gemstones Prom is nothing short of a blessing.
Here's what to expect as a Gemstones volunteer:
Training first — every volunteer is trained ahead of time for their specific role, so you'll feel confident, not caught off guard.
Clear direction all night — you'll always know where to be and what to do.
A full heart at the end — volunteers consistently leave with a grateful heart and a smile they can't shake.

FAQs
Do I need any specific training?Yes — training is provided by Grace Baptist Church and Atlanta Road Alliance Church, both in Seaford, DE. We offer two in-person training times to choose from, and an online training option is available if you're unable to attend either session.
What happens if you are a Buddy and your Guest does not show?No problem — we'll connect you with a Host or Hostess role for a group of tables, helping support the Buddies and Guests seated there for the evening.
What time do I need to be there?Arrival times for both Volunteers and Guests will be confirmed closer to the event, based on this year's schedule.
